Who is/are the founder of Dorm Yakamoz?
Dorm Yakamoz was founded by two families with a past related to education. Dorm Yakamoz is an establishment that has been providing services to education community and we adopt a student-oriented system as well as we attach importance to security and cleaning. We aim to provide a comfortable and secured environment to the students who choose to stay in Dorm Yakamoz that is managed with a distinctive administrative approach by experienced professionals who are specialists in their fields.
Dorm Yakamoz is NOT engaged in any other commercial activity; does NOT pursue commercial concerns about dormitory services; and Dorm Yakamoz is NOT one of the establishments, that misguidedly entitled as residence or house for students and that are in service without legal foundation.
Is Dorm Yakamoz associated with any kind of political party or religious association?
Dorm Yakamoz is absolutely not related to any kind of political party or religious association. Our dormitory serves under Ministry of Education in the light of Ataturk’s principles and reforms.
Are dormitory buildings in compliance with the earthquake and fire regulations?
Both of the buildings were built in compliance with earthquake and fire regulations updated in 2007 and both are certified in terms of complying fire regulations updated in 2013.
What are room options?
All of the rooms have been organized according to regulations and instructions of Ministry of Education. There are affordable, comfortable and variable rooms ranging from 1-person to 4-person in both of the buildings.
Which services are included in housing fee?
Housing fee includes all of the services provided in our dorm buildings and any other fee is not charged. Here is the content of these services: breakfast; daily and weekly cleaning services; supplying of materials such as linens, duvets, pillows, etc.; cleaning and change of these materials by cleaning companies weekly and daily; liquid hand soap; tissues; supplying of cleaning materials such as dishwasher detergent; iron; hair dryer; fitness center; free beverages and other services. The buildings are equipped with air conditioning systems and hot water any time you wish. In addition to all, each student is insured against any kind of risk during their accommodation.
How is security in buildings?
In Dorm Yakamoz, there are active and passive security systems. Female security guards patrol for 24/7; there is fingerprint control system for check-ins and check-outs; there are sensor lights at specific spots and razor wires for protection from risky areas; there is CCTV control and the building and around are monitored and recorded by speed dome cameras for 24/7. Security precautions are updated constantly.
What are check-in and check-out times?
The latest check-in time is 00:00 for weekdays and 01:00 for weekends. There is permission slip application for overnight check-outs or later check-ins than regular time. Detailed information is shared with students’ parents on demand.
Do I have everything that I need in my room?
We organized rooms according to students’ needs. There are TV, table and work lamp, ciphered safe vault, double door wardrobe, internal phone, mini fridge, bookshelf and bed in each room.
Whom do I call when I have a technical problem in my room?
You can get technical support by dialing 0 (zero) at your internal phone in your room for 24/7.
Is there any common area in buildings?
There are study area, dining hall and fitness center that are active for 24/7 in dorm buildings.
Do you have medical services?
There is infirmary for health care needs of the students in dorm building in Sisli.
Is there an area that I can cook?
There are full-equipped kitchens in each flat in dorm building in Sisli. One kitchen is suited to 4, 5 or 6 people’s use. There is a kitchen area for common use in dorm building in Besiktas.
What are necessary papers for registration?
4 passport photographs, copy of id or passport, criminal record, medical certificate, student certificate.
